account deletion
Delete your account
Permanent — there is no undo
The fastest way is in the app. Open Commit and go to Settings → Delete account.
That closes your account immediately, on the spot, and you don't need us.
If you can't get into the app — you lost the phone, you're locked out, you already deleted it —
use the form below and we'll do it for you. Because we can't verify who you are from a web page,
this is a request: we'll confirm you own the account against the email it was registered
with, then delete it. Expect it to be done within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, username, bio, and profile photo.
- Your email address and password. You will never be able to sign in again.
- Your posts, letters and messages are archived and removed from the app. Anything still
on the clock is stopped and will never be delivered.
- Push notifications are switched off for good.
- Circles you own pass to another member, or are disbanded if you were the only one left.
What we keep, and why
- A record of this deletion request, including the email address the account was
registered with. We keep it so we can prove the account was closed at your request.
- Payment and transaction records, where we are required to retain them for legal,
accounting, and fraud-prevention reasons.
Neither of these identifies you publicly, and nothing you posted stays visible in the app.

Request it
Request received. We'll confirm you own the account against the email you gave us, then
close it — within 30 days, usually much sooner. If we need anything from you, we'll write to
that address.
That didn't go through. Please try again in a minute, or email us directly at
hello@sayitpostitcommitit.com with your username — that works just as well.
Prefer email? Write to hello@sayitpostitcommitit.com
from the address on the account and ask us to delete it.
